Yesterday we took part in the 2nd Circular Catalonia Conference, the annual get-together for public and private sector players committed to the consolidation of the circular economy in Catalonia. This year, the conference focused on circular business models with business case studies like that of Pere Valls.At Pere Valls we recover our waste to give it a new life and prevent it going to landfill. The paper and cardboard waste we use as a raw material is turned into new products, the biomass boiler ash is used to make mortar, and the water filtration sludge is used to manufacture cement.
